DJ Larry Hammond was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey and now resides in Columbia, Maryland. Larry learned to mix in the late 80’s and fell in love with the soulful “Jersey” sound of house music with silky, gospel infused vocals blended with Chicago style instrumentals. In 1989 he purchased a set of Technics 1200’s, moved to New York and became a regular attender of house music clubs in the city. After gaining small following DJing small parties as DJ Larry Love, Larry stepped away from the scene to focus on self, family and career. Now he is back, spiritually secure and focused with a goal of spreading love through music.
